What does a substitute account let you do in Enriching Students? Likely, there will be times during the year when teachers will be out of school; setting up a substitute account allows the substitute teacher to impersonate the teacher they're subbing for, having access to their scheduling their students and taking attendance. How can you create a substitute account in Enriching Students? It's just like adding another staff member, with a couple extra details.
First, logged in as a site admin, go to Settings, navigate to the Manage Staff & Students box, and select 'Manage Substitutes.' To add a substitute, select the 'Add Substitute' button at the top left of the page. This will redirect you to a page where you can enter the staff member's information.
Be sure to enter information in all of the required fields. For this substitute to be able to log in, you need to select a staff member for them to impersonate. This is the staff member that they essentially will be 'subbing' for. They will be able to schedule and take attendance for this teacher.
Next there is a 'View Grades' check box. When checked, this allows the substitute to view the grades for the students of the teacher they are impersonating.
Lastly, you can enter a password for this staff member. If you want to send this staff member an email with their login information, or alert them if you've changed their password, make sure to check the 'Send Email' box, and then click 'Save.'
Now a substitute will be added to your Enriching Students account! For a substitute to log in, they will use the username and password you have set up. This will allow them to impersonate the staff member they were set to and take attendance for and schedule that staffer's students.
