When taking attendance for your student, there are 'attendance type' values that you can set. These give valuable information about how a student participated in class. By default, these are set to Present/Active, Present/Inactive, Absent, or Cut. However, some schools may want to use different attendance values. As an admin, you are able to change these values.
Logged in to your admin account, go to the Settings page. In the App Settings box, select 'Attendance Types.' On this page, you will see the current attendance type values, and their export value and column header.
To edit the attendance types names, click in the 'Type' label, and make the desired changes. You can do the same for the export value and column header. Be sure to click 'Save' after making any changes.
Similarly, you can edit the Export Value and the Column Header. The export value is how your attendance types will be represented when you export your data to a CSV file. The column header is how your attendance types will show as column heads on the Attendance Types table on the Student Profile. Click 'Save' when making changes.
