School-wide messages can let all students, and/or staff members, know about important events, or scheduling changes. In Enriching Students, an admin can create school-wide messages that will display on the Dashboard to be seen when students and teacher log in to their account.
Logged in as as admin, go to the Settings page. On the settings page, in the App Settings box, select Messages. Here you can add, or edit messages.
First, you'll need to set the expiration date for the message. This is when the message will no longer display on the Dashboard. Next, add the heading for your message, and the message body. Then, in the 'Viewable By' drop-down, you can select who is able to view this message. You can choose either staff, students, or all, both staff and students, to view the message. Click 'Save' and the message will be posted on the dashboard.
In the box 'List Messages' you can see a list of all current and past messages.
You can edit the messages here, as well as delete them. To edit a message, select the 'Edit' button, and the message will appear back in the 'Add/Edit Message' section. Even after a message has expired, you will need to delete it if you no longer want it to be in the List Messages box. Click delete, and then confirm to delete the message.
The message will display like the picture below, when staff or students login to their homepage.
