This page highlights the changes that are made to the line of Enriching Students applications for the 2019-2020 school year.
Database Moved to the Cloud
Over the past several months, we were noticing the database was working very hard to keep up on Monday mornings. Some Mondays, we would see over 5,000 appointments created per minute.
Additionally, the company that was hosting the database seemed unable to keep up with some issues we were observing. These two items caused us to decide it was time to move the database to cloud storage.
All of the data has been moved. We've gone through the site and confirmed the features are working. We will be closely monitoring the site on Monday morning to ensure the configuration we've chosen is correct for the work load. If necessary, we will make adjustments throughout the day to ensure the site continues to respond as needed.
If you have any issues, please open a support ticket.
More Help on Login Failures
The login process was updated in order to provide more feedback when the login failed. This article describes the different errors and what they mean.
Hide Scheduler on Scheduling Page
A much requested feature was added to the Scheduling page. Under the menu bar, you will now see the phrase, "Hide Scheduler". When selected, the Scheduler/Room value will be hidden on the scheduling page.
You choice is automatically saved, so if you select the value, it will be selected when you come back to the page. Obviously, the value can be changed at any time.
Hide Blocked and 0 Seat Count Courses
Finally, on the Advanced Scheduling window, directly above the Courses list, you will now see the "Hide Blocked & 0 Seat Count Courses" option. Selecting this option impacts the page in two ways:
- Any courses that are blocked will not be displayed when this option is selected
- Any courses that have a zero seat count will not be displayed when this option is selected
To view those courses, simply click the check box to deselect it.
Like the "Hide Scheduler" option on the main scheduling page, this check box "remembers" your last choice.
This update was primarily about importing data. The import process was adjusted to primarily rely on the email address, rather than the SIS Id.
