Enriching Teachers allows each school to decide if they want students to have the ability to schedule themselves for their flex time. Some school may give this ability to specific students, or all students school-wide. If a student can self-schedule, and the schedule themself to see a teacher, can the student then change that appointment?
Yes.
An appointment set by a teacher (for a student who has the permission to override) differs from an appointment set by the student themselves.
When the appointment is being created by a teacher, the option to allow the student to override must be specifically selected. Only then can the student override the appointment.
When the appointment is created by the student, the "can override by student" option is automatically set, so that student can update their appointment as often as needed.
Settings that are involved:
• Can the student self-schedule?
You can find this setting for each student by going to Admin > Manage Students. This a page that is accessibly only to admins. Find the student you are looking for, select their name, and a page will open that allows you to check the Can Schedule Self? checkbox as you see below.
To set broader permissions, to the Manage Students page and select the 'Advanced' button, where you can enable self schedule for larger groups. To learn more about this page, go to the article here.
