What Is Pre-booking?
At times, you know that you would like students to be scheduled to their advisory teacher, on a specific day or days, for a specific period. Rather than having to set this up manually, and remember to schedule new students to their advisory teacher on this same set schedule, you can set up pre-booking, and the initial scheduling as well as the subsequent scheduling to advisory, will be done automatically as new students are added.
A couple of scenarios include:
- pre-book to their advisory at the beginning of the week to determine a schedule for the remaining periods
- pre-booked to their advisory every available period, ensuring that the students always have an appointment
How to Set Up Pre-booking
Note: Only admins have the ability to establish pre-booking.
Once logged on, go to Admin > Manage School Periods. You will see five check boxes for each period, representing Monday - Friday. If the day is checked, it means that a new student will be pre-booked into their homeroom for that day. Be sure to click Save for each row / period you are configuring.
Example
In the example below, the Flex period is the only active period (see the checkbox under the "Is Active" column), and pre-booking is occurring on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
