We've recently updated the login process to provide more feedback . Below is a description of what each error message indicates.
An error occurred with Google; we are unable to log you on to the site
This error tells you that the attempt to log on via Google failed. This is an error on Google's side, there is nothing that we can do to fix it.
Clever did not authorize your account
This is an error with Clever, it did not provide the values needed for us to authenticate your account. This can not be fixed from within Enriching Students, as it's a Clever issue.
Clever did not provide the data needed to validate an account
Clever did not provide the means for us to authenticate your account. This cannot be fixed from within Enriching Students, as it's a Clever issue.
Clever did not return an email address for us to authorize
Clever authenticated your account, but didn't send over an email address. We use email addresses to allow access to Enriching Students. This cannot be fixed from within Enriching Students, as it's a Clever issue.
Email address does not exist in Enriching Students
The email address that was provided from Clever or Google is not in Enriching Students. It's likely that your email address needs to be updated in Enriching Students. Contact a school admin to change your email address.
The credentials provided are invalid
This message is displayed when a user tries to log on with either an invalid email address and/or password.
The site is currently in test mode and cannot be accessed
This message indicates the site has been set to allow the developers to access the site without allowing schools to access the site.
Your account has been locked out due to too many failed attempts
The application allows a user to try and log on three times in a row. If a valid email address is provided, with an invalid password, the account will be locked out.
You can use the login page to request a new password. Once the password has been reset, the account will be unlocked.
Your account is either inactive or soft deleted
This error tells you that you provided valid credentials, but we're unable to allow you access to the site because your account has been either deactivated or soft deleted.
An account is deactivated by an admin in your school. You will need to contact an admin to reactivate the account. This is not an activity we can perform.
An account is soft deleted when data staff/student data is imported and an account is not in the imported data. This can only be fixed by running the import process including the missing data. This is not an activity we can perform.
Requesting a new password will not fix this issue.
Your entire school's account is inactive
There are times when a school's account has to be deactivated. When this occurs, no one from that school will be able to log on to the site.
Your login tokens expired, please login again
As a student logging on, you were redirected from the login page to the student site. However, the tokens assigned to you have expired. You will need to go back to the login page and login again.
You are logging on as a substitute and your account isn't set to impersonate anyone
You have logged on to the site using a substitute account. Substitute accounts have to be impersonating a full-time staffer in order to be used. This can be adjusted by an Enriching Students admin in your school.
You have too many active accounts
This message is only displayed to students. A student can only have access to one school. This message indicates the student account is active in multiple schools and at least one of them needs to be deactivated.
