The following bug fixes have been applied in this roll-out:
Stale data. When changing permission to view analysis page, this wasn't immediately reflected in user's account due to stale cached data. This has been fixed.
Substitute unable to schedule students. This has been fixed.
Issues when updating attendance for individual students. This has been fixed.
Issues when importing students via Settings/Import data page; the appointments were not always adjusted and students weren't always prescheduled. This has been fixed.
Issue regarding responding to emails sent from Enriching Students. When a teacher responded to an email regarding an appointment request, or student responded to an email from a staffer regarding their schedule, it wasn't always getting sent out. This has been fixed.
Allow Block Dates without Reason. This feature has been removed. It's no longer possible to create a blocked date without providing a reason. Our research showed the vast majority of blocked dates have reasons and there wasn't any good reason to allow blocked dates without a reason.
Analysis, export data. Some browsers were having problems creating the export files. We've adjusted the process so that it runs on our site; this should allow any browser to download exported data on the analysis page.
Block Dates Adjustments. Some schools are working with many periods and blocking large date ranges. When the page updated, it would cause the browser to crash due to the large amounts of data. So we've adjusted the page to show only a months worth of data at a time.
Additionally we've improved the way the data is displayed. It's now broken out by Departments, Staff and School. Dates blocked at the school level can't be edited on this page, but staffer's can now see the dates that are blocked for the entire school.
Also, we've added a Select All option to the Periods selector on the Blocked Dates page.
Block Self-Schedule Course can be requested by student. Currently, when a staffer blocks a course from being available for self-scheduling by students, it doesn't appear on the student list when the student is scheduling. However, if you want the students to be able to request access to that course, there is a new option that works in tandem with the Block Self-Scheduling. The new option is Prevent Student Req.
When selected, the student will NOT be able to request an appointment for this course. When it's NOT selected, that blocked course could be requested by any student.
Note, we have marked all courses that are currently set to Block Self-Schedule to Prevent Student Req.
Email all unscheduled students. This feature can be found under Settings, Manage Students, Advanced, Email Unscheduled Students. Once the date range is set, all students who are unscheduled for any of the dates in the range will be emailed.
Rolling dates on scheduling page. The scheduling page has always defaulted to running from Monday - Friday. However, there are schools that run their Flex weeks from Tuesday - Monday, Wednesday - Tuesday etc. If you want the start day on the schedule page to be something other than Monday, go to Settings, Configuration, Starting Day for Scheduling. Using the drop down box, change the starting day. When you next visit the Scheduling page, you'll see it starting with that day of the week.
School can configure "Open Schedule" phrase. When a student is viewing their schedule on the website, and they aren't scheduled for a specific day/period, the app displays the message "Open Schedule". If you would prefer to have a different phrase displayed, go to Settings, Configuration, find the section Student Appointment Editor Settings and edit the text under the "Enter open schedule phrase".
Self-scheduling students must provide a comment. Schools have requested the option to require that students provide a comment when they are scheduling themselves to see a teacher. If you wish to activate this, go to Settings, Configuration, find the section Student Appointment Editor Settings and the check box labeled Student must provide comment?
Manual Sync with Clever. This has been an ongoing process for us. The variety of data synchronization needs has been a challenge that we are rising to meet. The update for this feature will be released within the next two weeks.
Limit Number of Days Students Can Self Schedule. This feature will be released within the next four weeks. It will allow schools to limit the time-frame in which students can schedule themselves.
Schedule by File. This feature will be released within the next four weeks. It will allow school admins to upload a list of students and schedule them en mass. This is useful when you need to place a large number of students into a course over many days.
Feature Request. This feature will be released within the next four weeks. It will allow schools to provide us with feedback about the features that are most important to them. We will provide a list of features that we are considering and you will be able to vote on which features are the most important to your school.
Parents Opt-In for Emails. For a long time, Enriching Students has CC'd parents on their students schedule emails. However, recently there have been complaints from some parents that they never requested the email and they wanted the emails to stop. Legally speaking, we need to provide parents with the ability to opt-out, even after they have chosen to receive the emails.
Thus we've been forced to temporarily stop copying parents on their children's schedule emails. We are working on creating a feature that will allow parents to opt-in to the emails as well as opt-out if they so choose.
