Messages for the Whole School
There are times when it's helpful to post a message that is available to the entire school. This new feature will allow any admin to create a message that will be displayed on the login page.
Once logged on, any admin can select Settings ->Manage Messages. As you can see in the screen shot below, the page will list all of the messages that have already been created.
Things to note:
- There are three data fields and each of them is required in order to save the record:
- Header - this is essentially a title for the message.
- Expires On - on what date will the message no longer be displayed. This allows you to set up the message and then have it automatically stop being displayed. If you want the message to be displayed for the entire year, simply set an expiration date after the end of the school year.
- Message - the message to be displayed
This feature will allow an admin to create one or more messages that will be displayed to the entire school.
